PKO

Regarding the stance how Japan should contribute for UN in terms of peace keeping activity, I recently had new information that may have the possibility to change my opinion. Until now I have maintained my stance that Japan should keep away from any kind of holding weapon as well as any kinds of war between countries. However, there was one loophole regarding UN contribution for peace keeping activity, that is PKO by which engage only in internal war within one country. Current issue of problem country is Sudan. I wonder if Japan should retrieve our self-defense force troop from the venue to keep away from the danger under the umbrella of war renouncing article 9 because we Japan may be blamed on neglecting international responsibility as a representative developed country to keeping pace with other countries. Controversial mission is what we say “rescue guardian for foreign military forces” to protect against the internal war conflict.    Regarding this activity, why my solid mind was fluctuated is that definition of war that internal war may be classified differently from war between the countries.
