Tommorow is the 5th anniversary after my company was established by having its share divided evenly between IBM and Seiko Epson.However,my company was announced to become 100% subsidized by Seiko Epson from next month.It's a great pity that we'll be totally separated from IBM,but business border is becoming more and more obscure that may enable us some day coming back to IBM or other competitive companies.I read in the magazine that IBM will shift its semiconductor business target from pc to game machines like Playstation 3.I wish our company will find some niche market to survive and expand our business.

What I thought about International association in Japan.

Last weekend my wife and I attended the International party held in Kyoto and had wonderful time there.What I always notice,by the way,whereever we attend such international associations is that most majority kind of people is always young single Japanese women.I've been wondering this fact "why women not men" and finally I found the answer of my own to explain this strange phenomenon.

One major motivation to find a foreign partner must be to brush up one's language skill like English.THen when two cases are compared under this theory,in women's case it must be looked more idealistic that a foreign gentleman kindly escorts and teaches English,but in opposite case may men may be looked a little unreliable being English taught by a foreign woman.

So by similar reason,men must feel more awkward to be present at some international association being afraid that one's English might be judged unskilled.

I wish Japanese men would revive one's Samurai spirit again to become more challenging!

The World Cup Game is at its height now,but most Japanese fans seem terribly disappointed at the unexpected loss we suffered from Austraria.As for me and my wife we don't watch soccer game usually,so we're not depressed like such guys.It's a matter of course that the victory brings pleasure to everyone,but I can't believe why losing the game sometimes drives crazy fans to cause violent cases.

Moving along the way,one of the hot issues discussed now in the Diet is how we should define "Patriotism."The draft submitted from LDP members was to add Patriotism evaluation to high-school score book.Each student may be classified into first to fifth grade patriot.

Now I wonder how such frenzy fan would be judged by that.

New type of sexual harassment that is called environment-typed sexual harassment is not direct one but when a man and his colleague is talking some obscene topics near some female worker,aiming intentionally at having their conversation heard by her.According to recent news,one professor was sued and suspended from his work by this kind of harassment.

It must be much more cynical when a professor of environmental problem caused such scandal.

Most suitable proverb to describe such case must be "Doctors often neglect their own health".

I'm attending a weekly class of practicing Tai chi though it's more health conscious purpose rather than martial art.

The first motivation I was fascinated by Tai chi tracks back to my childhood when I read Karate cartoon.There was one Karete master who travelled all over the world to fight against every martial arts.Though he remain unbeaten with his marvelous skill of Karate,the only unexpected loss he suffered was from just a small and elderly Chinese who was a tai chi master.That old master could defense any attacks of Karate skill by his round movement.What he learned from his defeat was that round movement is superior to linear movement.

When I practice Tai chi and hold a pose of extending my arms in a circle like hugging some girl,I am always taught to build an image that the whole planet of our earth is inside my arms.

I hope I can extend the scope of my contribution from local one to broader one until some day I can finally become globally influential person as if the earth is within my arms.
