On our summer vacation we visited a famous port town,Shimizu located between Tokyo and Kyoto. When we were in the fish market sitting on the bench, one native man talked to us introducing what representative fish product they have.As the conversation has got activated,he offered us he'll send us their fresh product as soon as he gets it.

In such case as we've experienced many times that promises are easily broken, but we anyway left our address for him. After a few day later, however,to our great surprise he really sent us two packs containing small fresh fish!!I can't believe a man being so honest to us whom he doesn't have any chance to meet again.

Moving along the way,the port town Shimizu is famous for having Samurai time hero Shimizu no Jirochoh who was very strong as well as very generous and kind to strangers.I thought he might be the ancestor of him.

We were lucky able to have experienced such heartwarming story in our desolated society.

Shimokitazawa is a typical downtown city in Tokyo where young generation enjoy their casual lives of their own idea though most of them are lack of money. This town is also famous for having several casual show houses for them to play their amateur theater.

New TV drama started last night turning a spotlight on their poor and comical lives.I so fascinated by the drama that I even had the fancy as if their casual lifestyle looked trendy and fashionable on the contrary.

Moving along the way,now Shimokita has a local government's plan to construct new station building and widen the roads around it to renovate old fashioned area. Therefore, citizen group is now protesting against this land adjustment plan to preserve this city's peculiar taste described in the drama.

Since I also was born there and have special feeling for that city,I do wish this drama will become the driving force to suspend such nonsense plan.

I'm now in terrible lack of sleep in the office because last night's World Cup final game kept me awoke all night long though I didn't care which I wish to win.Anyway I at least had a sense of oneness that I share the same scene of excitement with people around the world.Although I usually don't watch soccer game, what I felt sorry this time was that a great French player was dismissed from the field due to his bad conduct. It can be happened in any game or in any occasion that great performance is ruined by just a moment's short temper.Furthermore,it was his last highlight stage before his retirement. He will have to feel regret for what he has done until he dies.

Today farewell ceremony will be soon held in Tokyo to pay respect for the dead soul of great famous actor in Japan who died over a month ago.Following his will before he died, his funeral ceremony was held just among his family and relatives. Therefore, the ceremony of this time must be virtually a public funeral where many famous stars will attend to show their condolence and gratitude for his outstanding contribution to Japanese cinema world.

By the way I happened to be a close friend of his son and incidentally my younger sister was asked to attend the ceremony to do some assistant work.Since my younger sister owes to my friend for her having good male friend introduced from him,it's a good chance to give return for it.

P.S.After the ceremony was over, the son Kiyoshi sent gratitude message to his former classmates including my sister who did assistant work for him.He wrote there that at first the assistance was supposed to rely on staff members of the actor's office, but he didn't wish the ceremony would become just a business like one prepared for the great actor. Therefore,he on the second thought decided to ask his classmates for help, who knows the actor's another aspect as just a father.

I was impressed by his remark and also felt honor for having such a good friend.

Besides, his dead father must also have been pleasant for his ceremony being treated like that since he was very humble man who didn't care about his being a great actor.

New female mayor from my prefecture!

It's a really delightful news that our prefecture for the first time has produced a female mayor whose job is a professor researching for the Lake Biwa, the biggest lake in Japan which is that symbol of our prefecture.

The most controversial point for the voters was whether we should construct new bullet train station between Kyoto and Maibara which was insisted by previous mayor in order to activate local economy.I also may be glad bullet train station becomes more easily accessible but the problem of this plan is that the planned new station is very inconveniently located where there is no local station at all. Therefore, new female candidate appealed that the budget for such plan should be used for another purpose like welfare issue etc that must have echoed to citizen's heart.

I expect new wind blew to our prefecture may also brings about reformation so that citizen's grass root activity may become more excited to have greater influnce for our society.
