Envy and thank you

Envious feeling and appreciation are apparently opposite feeling but I sometimes notice that those poles are both coin sides , easy to be turned around to either side. I have long cherished envious feeling to the woman who neglected my proposal when I was younger but on the other side it is true that I learned a lot from that bitter experience when I was so immatured. I may meet her after a long interval at the reunion party this autumn so I just want to say the word of appreciation.
